What is HEC?
HEC stands for Higher Education Commission and is a commission in Pakistan that is responsible for all the higher education activities going on in Pakistan. All the universities, as well as the colleges which are offering programs higher than Intermediate Level, are handled by this commission.
HEC has its branches all over the country, But for students, nothing has to do with their branches. Basically, students are directly linked to their university or any institute from which are doing their higher qualifications. Their university deals all their matters with HEC and students nothing have to do with HEC.
But there is one exception when HEC ( Higher Education Commission ) Offers scholarships to students. HEC doesn't allow any student in this to apply through their university. All students have to enroll on HEC Official website for applying in this university.
So, The conclusion is very easy to drive here that HEC is dealing with all the higher education institutes and studies in Pakistan but not with the students.
